Newcomer to the Yulaev team, forward Jeff Platt, shared his impressions after joining our club.
Jeff Platt, forward of HC Salavat Yulaev: - The atmosphere in the team is very positive. Everyone is smiling, it's really cool.
- How was the first training session?
- Everything is fine. I have already managed to communicate with the coaching staff and with the guys, moreover, I knew some guys from my previous clubs.
- What thoughts came to your mind when you learned that there is an opportunity to move to our club? Were there other options for continuing your career?
- I think this is an amazing opportunity for me to play in a top KHL club. Each season, Salavat faces high challenges, and this attracts me personally. Yes, there were various options for continuing my career, but I had good feelings about moving to Ufa and I trusted them.
- You have taken to the ice of Ufa Arena more than once as part of other KHL teams. How do you remember the atmosphere on the Ufa ice?
- The atmosphere in Ufa is fantastic. The arena can hold how many, seven or eight thousand? Eight! It always seemed like a lot more. For all the time that I have been here, I have not particularly been able to see the city. But now I have the opportunity to explore the city in my car. I also want to learn more about Bashkortostan, so in the near future I will read about the republic. This is my way of life - if there is a chance, then I have to learn something new for myself culturally. It always inspires me.
