Striker Ondřej Roman prematurely ends his mission in Finland, returns to the Czech Extraliga, but instead of almost his mother Vítkovice, he chose Pardubice.
Thirty-one-year-old Ondřej Roman began summer preparations for the current year in Vítkovice. During it, he used the clause on going abroad and went on his engagement to the Finnish Ilves Tampere. However, he finished prematurely in the lions' jersey after only 12 matches and decided to close his Finnish chapter.
After the end in Finland, Ondřej Roman chose to return to the Czech top competition, but not so much to Vítkovice. He nodded at the offer of the Pardubice Dynamo.
"Of course, we were in contact with Ondra Roman and we solved the return to us as an option, but I will honestly say that we simply could not compete with the offer of Pardubice. We have a certain budget for the team and it cannot be disregarded. But I am just as honestly saying that even though I am sorry that Ondra will not play with us, I understand that he is following Dynamo's offer, which would be difficult to refuse. We wish Ondra good luck and we believe that he will show himself in our Vítkovice jersey in the future, “remarked Roman Šimíček, the sports director of Vítkovice
, about the transfer of the 31-year-old forward to Pardubice.
Ondřej Roman managed to play 12 matches in the Ilves Tampere jersey, in which he scored 4 Canadian points for 1 goal and 3 assists.
